Windstream Reportedly Raising Rates and/or Cutting Off Small Clients Spending Less than $1,500.00 Per Month
February 18th, 2016 by admin
Telecommunications provider, Windstream, has made the decision to cut off small to midsize business (SMB) customers that have accounts worth less than $1,500 per month. This decision was made by Windstream in order to attract larger size customers, which they ultimately profit more from. However, this tremendous change has caused some SMB customers to panic. In December, customers were notified that their rates would skyrocket come the new year, this left them only that month to find a new provider. Companies such as Comcast and Verizon love this change that Windstream is making because it will drive SMB customers over to them. It will be interesting to see what Windstream has planned for the future and how this decision will end up playing out for their business.
