BTI Communications Group Presents
ShoreTel Tip of the Week!
Record Your Personal Holiday GreetingDuring this Fourth of July holiday week, it is likely that your work hours will differ from the norm. A recorded holiday greeting is one way to ensure your customers and colleagues are aware of your availability during this time. This week's tip will show you how to simply record your holiday greeting using your ShoreTel Communicator. Click on the ShoreTel icon at the top left of your ShoreTel Communicator and select 'Options'. In the 'Options and Preferences' window, select the call handling mode from the menu on the left column that you would like to record a greeting for: Standard, In a Meeting, Out of Office, Extended Absence or Custom. (The following steps apply for each mode.) In the example below we have selected 'Out of Office'. After choosing the call handling mode, select 'Record Greeting' on the right. A 'Record Greeting' box will appear which will allow you to record and playback your message. You can re-record as often as needed. The telephone icon on the left of the 'Record Greeting' box has a drop-down option which allows you to select whether to record using your Telephone or PC Microphone. When you leave for the holiday, don't forget to change your Call Handling Mode to the specific mode that you chose to record your holiday greeting on so it will be active when you are away. That's all there is to it!
Thank you for reading your ShoreTel Tip. Have a great Week!
